9 Injured in SUV Collision Along National Highway in Ilocos Sur

Nine people were injured in a collision between two SUVs along the national highway in Barangay Lapting, San Juan, Ilocos Sur, on February 6, 2025, at 3:18 PM.

According to the San Juan Municipal Police Station, a white Toyota Veloz was driven by 46-year-old Julie Ann Nebab Ibay, a licensed driver from San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.

She was accompanied by passengers Jillian Clarisse Ibay and Raniel Ibay.

The brown Toyota Rush was driven by 27-year-old John Patrick Llerena Mandanas, a licensed driver from Calaca, Batangas.

His passengers included 21-year-old Mara Salac, 26-year-old Sharen Mae Paraiso, Shiela Pisigan, Gloria Delos Reyes, and Shyrona Delos Reyes, all residents of Calaca, Batangas.

The Toyota Veloz was heading north when it collided with the southbound Toyota Rush, which veered into the opposite lane.

All passengers sustained injuries and were rushed to various medical facilities, including the Rural Health Unit LGU in San Juan, Pira Clinic and Hospital, and Suero General Hospital in Cabugao.

Authorities have yet to determine the extent of the vehicle damages.
