The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has intercepted three Malaysian nationals allegedly affiliated with the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) as they attempted to enter the Philippines.
The trio, identified as Jessica Lynn Henry, Mimielianna Annie Anak Leesoi, and Andrijosebaul Anak Garra, arrived in the country with a group of Filipinos on August 27 from Kuala Lumpur but were abandoned by their companions when referred for immigration inspection.
BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco revealed that immigration officers discovered a plot by the Malaysians to participate in anti-government demonstrations alongside other followers of fugitive pastor Apollo Quiboloy, despite ongoing manhunt operations for Quiboloy and four other co-accused.
The Malaysian nationals claimed they were invited to Davao City by the KOJC but failed to present proof of their financial capacity to support their stay in the country. They eventually admitted to being unemployed.
One of the passengers was found to have a screenshot containing various anti-government slogans, such as “BBM Resign,” “Stop KOJC Injustices,” and “AFP/PNP Protect the People.”
When questioned about the screenshot, the passenger claimed to have accidentally downloaded the slogans from their social media accounts.
The three Malaysians have been added to the immigration blacklist and are now prohibited from re-entering the Philippines by the Bureau of Immigration.
