₱50 Daily Wage Increase Set for Metro Manila Workers Starting July 18

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has announced that the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board – National Capital Region (RTWPB-NCR) has approved a ₱50 wage hike for workers in Metro Manila.

Under the new wage order, the daily minimum wage in the non-agriculture sector will rise from ₱645 to ₱695.

Meanwhile, workers in the agriculture sector will see their daily pay increase from ₱608 to ₱658.

The wage adjustment will take effect on July 18, 2025.

According to DOLE, this is the highest wage increase ever granted by the NCR wage board.

The measure aims to help workers cope with rising consumer prices and improve their standard of living.

Wage hikes are typically higher in Metro Manila due to its elevated cost of living compared to other regions.
