₱4.5M Worth of High-Grade Marijuana Seized in Baguio Buy-Bust Operation

BAGUIO CITY – Authorities arrested a 20-year-old man during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Legarda-Burnham-Kisad, Baguio City, on December 7.

The suspect, a jobless resident of Sitio Saddle, Barangay Ampucao, Itogon, Benguet, was found with three elongated brown packages containing suspected high-grade marijuana or Kush.

The confiscated drugs weighed approximately 3,000 grams and were valued at ₱4.5 million.

Non-drug evidence recovered included 155 pieces of five-hundred-peso boodle money, a brown iPhone 6, an ecobag, IDs, and ₱15,000 in genuine cash.

The suspect was taken into custody by the Special Operations Unit-Cordillera for documentation, while the seized evidence will undergo laboratory examination.

The operation was conducted by a joint team from various law enforcement units, including the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and Baguio City Police.
