Woman Dies, Husband Injured After Motorcycle Collides With Cow

A motorcycle collides with a cow in Santiago City, resulting in the death of a woman and injuries to her husband on Bypass Road, Barangay Ambalatungan.

The motorcycle driver was identified as 28-year-old Mark Christopher Pangilinan, while his passenger was his 27-year-old wife, Claire Anne. Both were residents of Victory Norte, Santiago City.

According to the Santiago City Police Office – Traffic Enforcement Unit, the couple was traveling along the road at around 6:00 p.m. toward Barangay Sinsayon.

As they attempted to overtake a vehicle in front of them, they struck a cow that suddenly crossed the road.

The impact caused the driver to lose control, resulting in the motorcycle crashing.

Both victims sustained severe injuries and were rushed to the Southern Isabela Medical Center for treatment.

Unfortunately, Claire Anne succumbed to her injuries.

Authorities expect a meeting between the victims’ family and the cow’s owner at the police station to discuss the incident.
