VICE President Sara Duterte stated Friday she had once vowed to Sen. Imee Marcos that she would personally dispose of the bones of her father, former President Ferdinand Marcos, Sr., and toss them into the West Philippine Sea “if they don’t stop” the alleged political attacks.

In 2016, Sara’s father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, permitted the late dictator Marcos to be buried at the Libingan ng Mga Bayani, sparking nationwide controversy.

“One time I actually told Sen. Imee, I said if you don’t stop, I will dig up your father, I will throw him in the West Philippine Sea. One of these days I will go there, I will take your father’s body, I will throw it away that’s in the West Philippine Sea,” Duterte said in Filipino at a press conference.

“I don’t think she answered. It’s still in the group chat, some people have seen other people,” she added.

At the same press conference, Duterte accused the Marcos government of subjecting her to a “PR attack,” referring to the House investigation into her alleged fund misuse.

Duterte urged Marcos to stop mentioning her name.

“Could it be that when you see her (Marcos), tell her, ‘You know, don’t ever mention her name’… Maybe you can just keep quiet,” Sara said in Filipino.

The Marcoses have not yet made a statement on this.
