British Foreign Secretary David Lammy accompanied Blinken during the visit, showing full support for Ukraine’s fight against Russia.

According to Blinken, the assistance will also be directed towards humanitarian support and the clearing of landmines planted in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the UK’s Lammy stated that $3.9 billion per year has been allocated by the UK to support Ukraine.

This move responds to repeated calls by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for allied nations to accelerate the delivery of military aid.

The United States has played a significant role in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, providing billions of dollars in military and humanitarian assistance since the conflict began in 2022.

The US has been a key ally in supplying Ukraine with advanced weaponry, logistical support, and intelligence-sharing to help defend against Russian advances.

This support has been critical in maintaining Ukraine’s defense capabilities, particularly as the war has led to significant infrastructure damage, humanitarian crises, and energy shortages.

The Biden administration, in coordination with other NATO countries, has continued to impose sanctions on Russia while urging other allies to accelerate their support for Ukraine.

Through these measures, the US seeks to pressure Russia into negotiating a resolution to the conflict while ensuring that Ukraine remains resilient amid the ongoing aggression.
