Typhoon ‘Enteng’ has accelerated its movement as it heads towards the West Philippine Sea.
PAGASA reported that the typhoon’s center was located over the coastal waters of Paoay, Ilocos Norte, maintaining winds of up to 75 kilometers per hour and gusts reaching 125 kph.
The typhoon is now moving at a speed of 25 kph in a north-northeast direction.
Tropical cyclone wind signal number 2 remains in effect for the following areas: Ilocos Norte, parts of Ilocos Sur (Sinait, Cabugao, San Juan, Magsingal, Santo Domingo, San Ildefonso, San Vicente, Santa Catalina, Vigan City, Bantay, Santa, Caoayan), Apayao, Abra, Kalinga, Mainland Cagayan (Piat, Santo Niño, Camalaniugan, Tuao, Pamplona, Alcala, Amulung, Buguey, Solana, Rizal, Claveria, Iguig, Lasam, Aparri, Ballesteros, Abulug, Allacapan, Sanchez-Mira, Santa Praxedes), including the Babuyan Islands (Calayan Is., Dalupiri Is., and Fuga Is.).
Meanwhile, signal number 1 is raised in the remaining parts of Ilocos Sur, La Union (Luna, Santol, San Juan, Bagulin, Bangar, San Gabriel, Bacnotan, Sudipen, Balaoan), Mountain Province, Ifugao, parts of Benguet (Mankayan, Kapangan, Atok, Kabayan, Kibungan, Bakun, Buguias, Tublay), Batanes, the rest of Mainland Cagayan, Babuyan Islands, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya (Bayombong, Ambaguio, Bagabag, Villaverde, Diadi, Quezon, Solano), and Quirino (Aglipay, Saguday, Diffun, Cabarroguis).
The typhoon is expected to weaken by Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.
