Two ISU Professors Received Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award in Malacañang

Cauayan City – Two professors from Isabela State University (ISU) were honored with the prestigious Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award at Malacañang Palace.

Dr. Myleen Corpuz, Associate Professor V, and Dr. Martina Peñalber, Associate Professor II, were recognized for their exceptional contributions to the province of Isabela and the country.

The award was given for their leadership in the ISU Cacao Center, which has improved the livelihoods of over 1,500 cacao growers and processors nationwide.

Their initiative aims to boost cacao production and support local farmers.

Dr. Corpuz and Dr. Peñalber admitted that their dedication to this project has often required sacrificing personal time with their families.

Despite facing challenges and criticism, they remained committed to helping their fellow Isabeleños.

Their work has attracted numerous business collaborations and opened up more opportunities for the cacao farming community.
