The award was given for their leadership in the ISU Cacao Center, which has improved the livelihoods of over 1,500 cacao growers and processors nationwide.

Their initiative aims to boost cacao production and support local farmers.

Dr. Corpuz and Dr. Peñalber admitted that their dedication to this project has often required sacrificing personal time with their families.

Despite facing challenges and criticism, they remained committed to helping their fellow Isabeleños.
