Tourists Flock to Boracay for the 2024 Boracay White Beach Festival

KALIBO, Aklan – Thousands of local and foreign tourists have flocked to Boracay Island to witness the annual Boracay White Beach Festival 2024.

According to Ms. Kathrine Licerio, spokesperson for the Malay Tourism Office, since the start of the events on October 11, the island has welcomed no fewer than 5,000 visitors daily.

Several participants in various events, such as beach tennis, were international tourists.

This marks the second year of the festival, aimed at boosting Boracay’s tourism industry.

Among the top attractions are the beach foam party, sand castle festival, paraw sailing, and the Mr. Grand Philippines 2024 fashion show and swimwear competition.

The celebration will culminate on October 31, featuring events like a food bazaar, international dragon boat race, beach volleyball international, beach football, beach frisbee, and the first-ever beach basketball competition.

The festival is held every October under a municipal ordinance, symbolizing the rich marine heritage and cultural identity of Malay, Aklan.
