Tony Yang, Brother of Ex-Presidential Adviser Michael Yang, Arrested by Immigration and PAOCC

Authorities have arrested Tony Yang, the brother of former presidential economic adviser Michael Yang. The arrest was made by the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) and the Bureau of Immigration (BI).

According to PAOCC, Tony Yang, also known as Yang Jian Xin, was apprehended under a mission order as an “undesirable alien” issued by the BI and PAOCC.

The arrest occurred on Thursday night at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3.

Tony Yang is alleged to be involved in illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) operations in Cagayan de Oro.

It is worth noting that Michael Yang was previously cited in contempt by the House Committee on Dangerous Drugs for his failure to attend the investigation into illegal drug operations in Pampanga in September 2023.
