Three Relatives from Pampanga Killed in Vehicular Accident in Tuba, Benguet

A vehicular accident in Tuba, Benguet claimed the lives of three relatives from Pampanga early Monday morning along Marcos Highway, particularly in Sitio Bontiway, Poblacion, Tuba.

According to information obtained by Bombo Radyo Baguio from the Tuba Municipal Police Station, the vehicle was carrying 22 relatives who had traveled from La Trinidad, Benguet.

While on their way home to Pampanga, the vehicle reportedly lost its brakes, causing the crash.

The fatalities were identified as Justine Nichole Fernandez Bungay, 22, of Minalin San Francisco 2nd, Pampanga; Homer Lopez Lozano, 46, of Mabical, Floridablanca, Pampanga; and Arlene Apilado Nanquil, 56, also of Mabical, Floridablanca, Pampanga.

Five passengers suffered multiple physical injuries and were taken to Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center, where they remain under medical observation despite being in stable condition.

Additionally, 14 others, including the driver, sustained minor injuries.

The driver, identified as Berlin Lopez, is currently in the custody of the Tuba Municipal Police Station-Main Office for further investigation.

Authorities are coordinating with the victims’ families, the Pampanga local government, and other concerned agencies.

The remains of the deceased have been brought to Cosmopolitan SF Memorial Chapels in Suello Village, Baguio City.

The Tuba Municipal Police Station extended their condolences to the victims’ families.
