Tension Erupts Between Rival Groups in Cotabato; Residents Flee for Safety

Fear and panic have driven residents of Barangays Bualan, Lagunde in Tugunan, SGA-BARMM, Pagangan, Aleosan, North Cotabato, and Sitio Kadingilan to evacuate after tension flared between two rival factions from the 105th Base Command of the BIAF-MILF.

Initial reports from one of the evacuees indicated that the conflict stemmed from the deaths of two individuals identified as Abo Hadi Ampatuan and Mursal Adteg, both members of the 3rd Brigade under Commander RP of the 105th Base Command.

Currently, affected residents are temporarily taking shelter at the covered courts of Barangays Bualan and Nalapaan in Pikit, Cotabato.
