Teen Killed, Mother Injured After Hammer Attack by Sibling

A 16-year-old was declared dead on arrival at the hospital, while the mother remains in critical condition after being attacked with a hammer by the victim’s own sibling.

The incident occurred at 11:30 a.m. on October 13 in Zone 6, Block 6, Barangay Fatima, General Santos City.

The minor was identified as “Jay,” while the mother was named Elma Carcosia, 53 years old.

The suspect, identified as 30-year-old Jessie Carcosia, is also a resident of the same area.

Initial police investigations revealed that the victims were attacked while sleeping, with the suspect reportedly hitting them on the head with a hammer.

A neighbor disclosed that the suspect suffers from a mental disorder and is currently in police custody.
