TCDEO-DELP Distributes School Supplies to Selected Beneficiaries

Tacloban City — In a generous move to support education of many Filipinos, Tacloban City District Engineering Office (TCDEO) in partnership with District Engineers League of the Philippines (DELP) donates school supplies to selected beneficiaries in the Office and in Basper Elementary School on July 22 and 30, 2024.

This activity is part of the DELP’s initiative to support learners’ education especially those who belong to marginalized families with basic school supplies.

The first phase of the distribution occurred on July 22, 2024, at the TCDEO grounds, where a total of 45 recipients from various sections received school supplies. The distribution was led by Engr. Rebecca G. Yuse, TCDEO’s District Engineer and member of DELP’s Board of Directors. She was joined by the Section Chiefs and the rest of TCDEO employees.

“I am very happy that we could work together with the District Engineers League of the Philippines to do this and be able to extend help to a lot of Filipino learners,” said District Engineer Yuse.

On 30th of July 2024, Dsitrict Engineer Yuse, accompanied by Section Chiefs, visited Basper Elementary School for the second phase of the distribution. A total of 315 pupils were able to receive their school supplies.

Basper Elementary School’s Principal II, Narissa Leonora G. Enverzo emphasized the action of the DELP Organization remarking that, “This is one way of showing you our dear learners that this organization, the District Engineer League of the Philippines Incorporated is very much supportive of your education”.

“In behalf of the teachers of this school we are very much thankful and grateful for choosing us to be the recipient of this program,” Principal Enverzo added.
