Bombo Radyo Philippines’ emphatic win in the recently held 47th Catholic Mass Media Awards demonstrates the Network’s commitment to deliver well-crafted programs grounded in correct values, programs meant to inform, update, and entertain.

The Network received three major awards in this year’s selection, along with two Special Citations. Beyond that, Bombo Radyo Philippines also placed multiple finalists in all nine radio categories, demonstrating the wide acceptance of the Network’s programs among the public, coupled with a strong presence of excellence recognized by this long-running and trustworthy award-giving body.

And there is more to the story. The Best Entertainment Program win of Star FM Iloilo’s Pinoy Memories for 2025 continues the streak of awards given to Star FM in the same category, following Star FM Bacolod’s victory in the 2024 CMMA for the Morning Starsweep, and Star FM Cebu’s 2023 win for Star Weekend Favorite: Lenten Edition. This marks three consecutive awards for Star FM in the same category from the Catholic Mass Media Awards, a PLATINUM GRADE AWARD-WINNING BODY whose credibility needs no further validation.

The CMMA Best Entertainment Program award has been given to Star FM stations for three consecutive years since 2023.

Sports have so many colorful terms for such a feat: hat trick, three-peat, grand slam. Bowling, on the other hand, calls three strikes in a row a turkey.

Whatever the term, this winning streak is undeniably difficult to achieve, and the fact that Star FM has done it, holding a firm grip on a category in which it is primed to excel, is both striking and noteworthy.

And Star FM continues to shine in whatever category it places. This year, Star FM Manila’s Istoryang Pasada: Takbo received a Special Citation for Best Counseling Program. In 2023, Star FM Manila’s Pinoy Memories (the same show that is now hailed as Best Entertainment Program for 2025) also received a Special Citation, further showing the consistency and caliber of its content. A Special Citation, after all, stands as the runner-up honor to the main title.

Now, the Best Entertainment Program award has been given to Star FM for three years in a row. The stations may be different, and the programs may vary. Still, one can clearly deduce that the pedigree for winning is there, an ingrained drive for excellence woven into the very template and tradition that thrives within Bombo Radyo Philippines.

Can the streak continue? Are we putting a jinx on it by even asking? Time can only tell. In the meantime, rest assured that whatever we do, whichever programs we create, or any special offerings we deliver at Star FM to our audience:

STAR FM, IT’S ALL FOR YOU… Basta Radyo… Bombo!
