The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) presented Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) founder Apollo Quiboloy, along with his co-accused—Jackielyn Roy, Ingrid Canada, Cresente Canada, and Sylvia Cemanes—following their surrender on Sunday, September 8.
DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos Jr. led the brief presentation, which lasted less than a minute.
The accused were not allowed to be questioned by members of the media. After the short exposure, they were escorted back to a separate room.
During the presentation, the accused were seen wearing orange detainee shirts, although four of them, including Quiboloy, were also wearing black jackets.
The controversial pastor’s face was barely visible as he wore dark sunglasses and a black cap adorned with an eagle logo—the same cap he wore during his public appearance on Sunday.
The DILG also showcased the detention facility at the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center, where the accused will be temporarily housed.
The facility includes beds, individual electric fans, chairs, water containers, and a small comfort room within each room. Based on the video released by the DILG, the rooms appeared clean and well-maintained.
Secretary Abalos reiterated that no special treatment would be given to Quiboloy and his companions following their custody under the PNP.
Quiboloy’s group is currently detained at the Custodial Center in Camp General Rafael T. Crame, the national headquarters of the Philippine National Police in Quezon City.
