Senator Lito Lapid visited several barangays in Rizal province on Thursday, September 12, 2024, to assist families affected by the recent flooding caused by Typhoon Enteng.
The visit took place during the Lingkod Lapid Caravan, where the senator personally led the distribution of relief goods to the flood victims.
A total of 1,200 families from Barangay Mayamot and Barangay San Jose in Antipolo City, Barangay San Juan in Taytay, and Barangay San Isidro in Cainta received family food packs.
The food packs, which contained essentials like rice and canned goods, were distributed to help the affected households recover from the disaster.
Senator Lapid, accompanied by his son, Mark Lapid, Chief Operating Officer of the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA), ensured that the relief goods were handed out smoothly.
The residents warmly welcomed the senator and his team, expressing their gratitude for the much-needed assistance.
In his message, Senator Lapid emphasized that the aid was meant to provide immediate relief to families struggling in the aftermath of the typhoon.
He expressed hope that the food packs would alleviate some of the burden faced by the victims during this challenging time.
The beneficiaries conveyed their appreciation for the timely assistance provided, especially as many were still reeling from the damages caused by the floods.
