“I have been serving as governor of the province of Pampanga for nine years, and I’ve been a senator for three terms,” Lapid said. “Maybe from my experience, I can serve again and again. Please give me a chance again,” he added, appealing to voters for their support in the upcoming 2025 elections.

Lapid first made his mark in politics as the governor of Pampanga, a position he held for nine years before making the leap to national office.

He was first elected to the Senate in 2004, and during his time as senator, Lapid has championed various bills and laws focused on social welfare, the film industry, and protection of the environment, among others.

Known for his roles in action films, Lapid has built a career in both entertainment and public service. His candidacy in the 2025 elections marks another chapter in his political journey, which has spanned over two decades.
