Senator Hontiveros on Quiboloy’s Arrest: His Days of Impunity Are Numbered

Senator Risa Hontiveros expressed her satisfaction over the arrest of fugitive Pastor Apollo Quiboloy by authorities.

Hontiveros, who has been leading the Senate investigation into Quiboloy’s human rights violations, stated that his days of impunity are numbered, and he can no longer evade justice for his abuses against women, children, and fellow Filipinos.

The senator emphasized that Quiboloy cannot escape the law and that justice for his victims is now within reach.

She also extended her gratitude to the victim-survivors who bravely testified during the Senate hearings, acknowledging that they are now closer to achieving justice.

Hontiveros commended law enforcement agencies for their dedication in pursuing Quiboloy despite the tactics he employed to avoid capture.

With Quiboloy now in custody, the Senate’s investigation will continue, aiming to put an end to his systematic abuse of the most vulnerable members of society.
