In an emotional interview, Senator Binay expressed her feelings about running for a position currently held by her sister, Mayor Abby Binay.

She emphasized that family ties remain strong, stating that her sister is not her opponent.

Senator Nancy Binay is currently serving her second term in the Senate, following her re-election in the 2019 elections.
