Sen. Nancy Binay Files Candidacy for Makati City Mayor

Senator Nancy Binay has officially filed her Certificate of Candidacy (COC) for the position of Mayor of Makati City.

The filing took place at Barangay Valenzuela, marking Binay’s bid to succeed her sister, incumbent Mayor Abigail Binay, who is expected to run for a Senate seat in the 2025 midterm elections.

Joining Senator Binay in her candidacy is actor-turned-politician Monsour del Rosario, who is running for vice mayor.

In an emotional interview, Senator Binay expressed her feelings about running for a position currently held by her sister, Mayor Abby Binay.

She emphasized that family ties remain strong, stating that her sister is not her opponent.

Senator Nancy Binay is currently serving her second term in the Senate, following her re-election in the 2019 elections.
