Rep. Paolo Duterte Slams Impeachment Move Against VP Sara

Rep. Paolo Duterte has expressed strong dismay over the impeachment move against VP Sara, calling it politically motivated and unjust.

The Davao lawmaker said he is angered and disturbed by the efforts to remove his sister, Vice President Sara Duterte, through what he described as a baseless impeachment case.

He accused certain lawmakers, led by Rep. Janette Garin, of maliciously manipulating the process to hastily gather signatures and push for an unjust impeachment proceeding.

Duterte warned that the administration is taking a dangerous path by disregarding public sentiment, citing the recent rally of over a million Iglesia Ni Cristo supporters as a sign of growing unrest.

He criticized the Marcos administration, stating that if they believe they can push a “fake impeachment” without consequences, they are gravely mistaken.

According to Duterte, the issue goes beyond VP Sara, as it reflects the will of the Filipino people and their growing frustration with those in power.

He concluded with a strong statement, warning that reckless abuse of authority will not end in favor of those responsible.
