Police Regional Office 10 (PRO 10) has ordered stricter security measures for all personnel, even when off-duty.

This directive was issued by PRO 10 Director Brigadier General Jaysen De Guzman following the fatal shooting of Cogon Police Station Commander Captain Abdulcahar Armama, who was attacked at home last week.

De Guzman expressed sadness over the death of his fellow PNPA officer, who was targeted and shot in the head while actively enforcing laws against illegal activities in his area.

He emphasized the need for increased vigilance, both on and off duty, to prevent a repeat of the incident.

Captain Armama was killed by motorcycle-riding suspects using a .45 caliber gun, an attack linked to his strict enforcement of laws against illegal drugs, illegal gambling, and smuggling.

The Special Investigation Task Group has focused its probe on Armama’s anti-illegal drugs operations and his efforts to curb illegal number games and smuggling before his untimely death.
