President Marcos to Attend ASEAN Summit in Malaysia This May

ASEAN Summit Malaysia is the focus of President Ferdinand โ€œBongbongโ€ Marcos Jr.โ€™s official trip as he travels to Kuala Lumpur to attend the ASEAN Summit on May 26โ€“27.

According to Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro, President Marcos will join fellow Southeast Asian leaders in addressing key issues concerning regional economic growth and security.

Castro noted that the Presidentโ€™s positive demeanor and cordial interaction with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim reflect a productive dialogue ahead of the summit.

The leaders reportedly discussed several ASEAN-related economic and security matters that are expected to be tackled further during the summit.

President Marcos expressed optimism that ongoing conversations on economic challenges and regional security threats will continue at the upcoming ASEAN gathering in Malaysia.
