President Marcos Assures Government’s Readiness Amid Taal Volcano Activity

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. assured the public that government agencies are well-prepared to respond to the recent Taal Volcano eruption without needing direct instructions from his office.

In light of Taal Volcano’s explosion at 4:30 PM on October 3, Marcos stated that the government follows a standard operating procedure (SOP) for any natural disaster or calamity.

He emphasized that relevant agencies are already aware of their roles and responsibilities.

The President also confirmed that the national government is closely monitoring the situation, and authorities on the ground are ready to act when necessary.

He added that experts are constantly assessing the situation and that the government will evacuate residents near the volcano if early signs indicate danger.

With these measures in place, Marcos reiterated that there is no need to issue additional directives to concerned agencies.
