TOLEDO CITY – The police are set to file murder charges against Lorben Larot, the primary suspect in the killing of an 18-year-old woman in Toledo City on September 20, 2024.

Larot was last seen with the victim, checking into a lodging house a day before her lifeless body was discovered.

Police Major Ian Macatangay, Chief Public Information Officer of the Cebu Police Provincial Office (CPPO), confirmed that a manhunt is currently underway to apprehend Larot.

He assured that the authorities will not stop until the suspect is captured and brought to justice.

As police continue their search, they are also awaiting the results of the autopsy to determine the exact cause of the victim’s death and whether she was sexually assaulted.

Authorities suspect that the young woman may have been strangled due to the wounds found on her neck and a handkerchief placed in her mouth.
