Police Major Ian Macatangay, Chief Public Information Officer of the Cebu Police Provincial Office (CPPO), confirmed that a manhunt is currently underway to apprehend Larot.

He assured that the authorities will not stop until the suspect is captured and brought to justice.

As police continue their search, they are also awaiting the results of the autopsy to determine the exact cause of the victim’s death and whether she was sexually assaulted.

Authorities suspect that the young woman may have been strangled due to the wounds found on her neck and a handkerchief placed in her mouth.
