According to PHIVOLCS, 25 volcanic-tectonic earthquakes have been recorded since Monday morning.

These volcanic-tectonic tremors result from the grinding of rocks, indicating the potential for increased volcanic activity that may precede an eruption.

Kanlaon Volcano remains under Alert Level 2 at present.

Residents have been advised by PHIVOLCS to avoid venturing within the four-kilometer radius Permanent Danger Zone (PDZ) and to stay vigilant for any volcanic activity.

Pilots are also warned to avoid flying over the volcano to prevent any possible hazards.

In June, Mount Kanlaon erupted for six minutes, releasing thick ash and gas that reached five kilometers into the sky.

Kanlaon is one of the 24 active volcanoes in the Philippines.
