The Philippine National Police (PNP) has dispatched additional personnel to Davao City to assist in the search for Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, the leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC).
The reinforcements, who arrived from various parts of Mindanao on Tuesday night, have been stationed around the KJC compound.
Brig. Gen. Roderick Augustus Alba, the Davao regional command director for police community relations, confirmed the deployment.
Additionally, Lt. Gen. Luis Rex Bergante, commander of the Eastern Mindanao Command of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, announced that the Army would also be sending personnel to strengthen the ongoing operations, which were launched on August 24.
These efforts aim to serve arrest warrants against Quiboloy and four co-accused in cases of child abuse and human trafficking.
The PNP continues to search the KJC compound, where Pastor Quiboloy is believed to be hiding in a bunker.
The police have been meticulously locating the entrances to these bunkers to avoid damaging the property while executing the search.
