PDEA and PNP Raid Drug Den, Arrest Five

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Five individuals are facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022 after being apprehended in a joint operation by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 10 and the Philippine National Police (PNP) near the newly opened Panguil Bay Bridge in Barangay Silanga, Tangub City, Misamis Occidental.

According to PDEA 10 Regional Director Atty. Benjamin Gaspi, their forces, along with officers from the Tangub City Police Station, raided a suspected drug den, leading to the arrest of five alleged drug pushers.

The suspects were identified as alias Mel, 17; alias Fred, 36; alias Mer, 28, all residents of Tangub City; alias Dex, 28; and alias Ger, 21, both from Misamis Oriental.

Seized from the suspects were seven grams of suspected shabu, valued at Php 47,600. They will be charged with violating Republic Act No. 9165.

Alias Mer was identified as the drug den maintainer, while the other four were visitors or patrons of the establishment.
