Pastor Apollo Quiboloy Files Candidacy for Senator, Confirms Comelec

Pastor Apollo Quiboloy has filed his candidacy for senator through his legal counsel, according to Commission on Elections (Comelec) Chairman George Erwin Garcia.

Before this, Quiboloy’s supporters conducted a survey to gauge public opinion on whether the pastor should run for the Senate.

Chairman Garcia clarified that anyone is free to file their Certificate of Candidacy (COC) as long as there is no final conviction in any pending case.

Quiboloy remains in detention at the Philippine National Police Detention Facility in Camp Crame, Quezon City, as he faces multiple charges.
