Pacquiao, Barrios Make Weight Ahead of Welterweight Clash in Las Vegas

Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao and American champion Mario Barrios both successfully made weight for their highly anticipated welterweight bout scheduled for tomorrow in Las Vegas.

During Saturday morning’s official weigh-in, Pacquiao tipped the scales at 146.8 pounds, while Barrios came in slightly lighter at 146.2 pounds, both within the 147-pound welterweight limit.

This marks Pacquiao’s heaviest fight weight since his fourth encounter with Juan Manuel Marquez in December 2012.

Pacquiao last fought professionally in 2021, suffering a unanimous decision loss to Yordenis Ugas.

Barrios, 30, last entered the ring in November of last year, ending his match against Abel Ramos in a 12-round split draw.

Pacquiao holds a record of 62 wins, 8 losses, and 2 draws, with 39 knockouts, while Barrios boasts 29 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw, including 18 knockouts.
