More than 1,007 individuals, including passengers, crew, and cargo staff, were stranded across eight ports nationwide on Monday evening, according to the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA).

The disruption came as Super Typhoon Uwan battered the country, prompting authorities to raise Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 5 in most regions and suspend all sea travel in affected areas.
