One-Way Traffic on Benguet-Nueva Vizcaya Road Due to Landslide

The Benguet-Nueva Vizcaya road is currently one-way passable due to a landslide in Ansodeng, Ambuklao, Bokod.

In an interview with Bombo Radyo Cauayan, Christian Sevilla, Operations Center Staff of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) in Nueva Vizcaya, said clearing operations are ongoing in the affected area to ease traffic flow.

According to the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) in Bokod, the landslide was caused by rains that softened the ground.

An alternate route has been designated via the Labey-Lacamen provincial road to help motorists.

With only one lane accessible, light to heavy traffic is expected, especially with other road construction projects in the area.

Moderate to heavy traffic is also anticipated in Barangay Diadi and Rosario due to ongoing roadworks.

Motorists are advised to exercise extra caution as the rainy season continues.
