New Storm May Form Within 24 Hours as LPA Nears PAR

A Low Pressure Area (LPA 10a) is currently being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), located approximately 2,300 kilometers east of extreme northern Luzon.

Reports indicate a high probability that the LPA will develop into a tropical depression within the day.

If it intensifies, it will be named Typhoon Quedan, marking the 17th weather disturbance to hit the country this year.

Meanwhile, Severe Tropical Storm Paolo, internationally known as Matmo, remains under close observation despite having exited Philippine territory.
