Known for his incredible shot-blocking ability, Mutombo was an eight-time NBA All-Star and a four-time Defensive Player of the Year.

His dominance on the defensive end made him one of the best shot blockers and defensive players in NBA history.

Mutombo’s NBA career spanned from 1991 to 2009, playing for teams such as the Denver Nuggets, Atlanta Hawks, Philadelphia 76ers, New Jersey Nets, New York Knicks, and Houston Rockets.

Beyond the court, Mutombo was a philanthropist committed to helping the people of his homeland, the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
