The tricycle collided with a motorcycle driven by Andrei Castro Delos Santos, 24, from Brgy. Damortis, Sto. Tomas, La Union, and an Elf van driven by Erwin Balolong Gonzales, 47, of Bonuan Guiset, Dagupan City. The vehicles were traveling in opposite directions when the crash occurred.

The investigation further revealed that both the tricycle and the motorcycle were heading southbound, with the tricycle ahead of the motorcycle, while the Elf van was on the opposite lane heading north.

The motorcycle reportedly struck the rear of the tricycle, causing it to lose control and veer into the center lane, where it collided with the front left side of the Elf van.

The driver’s wife, who was in the tricycle, was declared dead at the scene. The drivers and all passengers involved sustained various injuries and were immediately rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment.
