Missing Dumalneg Councilor Found After Five-Day Search in Vintar

LAOAG CITY – Dumalneg Mayor Francisco Espiritu has confirmed that Sangguniang Bayan Member Pedro Cascayan was found in Sitio Sarguelas, Brgy. Isic-Isic, Vintar.

Cascayan was located through a joint search and rescue operation conducted by teams from Vintar and Dumalneg, with assistance from the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, and Philippine Marines.

According to Mayor Espiritu, Cascayan was found near a hut in Sitio Sarguelas, close to where his hat had been previously discovered.

The search had been temporarily halted yesterday due to heavy rains, but efforts resumed today until the councilor was found.

Mayor Espiritu added that Cascayan, who had been missing for five days, will undergo a medical examination to assess his condition.
