Marcos expected to approve 2025 Budget Before Christmas – PLLO

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is expected to sign the proposed P6.352 trillion national budget for the fiscal year 2025 before Christmas Day, according to Presidential Legislative Liaison Office Secretary Mark Leandro Mendoza.

In a statement on Monday, Mendoza confirmed that the signing of the budget is planned for before the holiday.

“Yes, that’s included… the budget is included. Maybe before Christmas,” he said when asked about the expected signing date.

A joint technical working group (TWG) has been formed to address the discrepancies between the Senate and House versions of the 2025 national budget.

The final version of the budget will be determined by the bicameral conference committee.

Once it is finalized, the budget will be ratified by both chambers of Congress before being sent to Malacañang for President Marcos’ review and approval.
