Man Fatally Stabbed by Live-In Partner Over Jealousy, Police Say

A man was fatally stabbed by his live-in partner out of jealousy in Brgy. Dagami, Maasin, Iloilo.

The victim, known as “Ron,” 35, was allegedly attacked by his partner, “Tintin,” 48, both residents of the area.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Arnel Solis, spokesperson for Police Regional Office 6, stated that before the incident, the couple had been drinking with the woman’s cousin, who was reportedly the source of the partner’s jealousy.

Solis reported that the cousin left early, but later, the woman noticed her partner was missing and eventually found him knocking on the cousin’s door.

Enraged, the suspect allegedly grabbed a knife and stabbed the victim, inflicting a fatal wound to his abdomen.

The suspect is currently in custody at Maasin Municipal Police Station and may face murder charges.
