A low-pressure area (LPA) is now affecting a large portion of Luzon, as well as parts of Visayas and eastern Mindanao, bringing widespread rain across the country.

Once the LPA strengthens and enters the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), it will be named Tropical Storm Kristine and is expected to hit Northern Luzon.

Heavy rainfall is expected across the island of Luzon, including Metro Manila, starting Wednesday as the weather disturbance moves closer.

Central Luzon, CALABARZON, the Bicol Region, and Eastern Visayas will also experience rainy weather as the storm approaches.

Authorities warn that the intensity of the storm remains uncertain and could still change, urging the public to stay prepared for possible developments.
