Live-In Partners Declared Dead on Arrival After Highway Crash in Tupi, South Cotabato

Two live-in partners were declared dead on arrival after being involved in a road accident along the national highway in Crossing Jacinto, Barangay Crossing Rubber, Tupi, South Cotabato at around 6:35 PM on November 8, 2025.

The victims were identified as Rigor and Ruffa Mae, residents of Sitio Dataltah in Barangay Acmonan, Tupi.

According to police reports, the victims were traveling on their motorcycle when they were suddenly rear-ended by a Toyota Hilux, causing them to be thrown off and sustain severe physical injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Marco, 42, a resident of Barangay San Isidro, General Santos City, who was behind the wheel of the Toyota Hilux.

Rescuers from the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Tupi immediately rushed the victims to the hospital, but doctors declared them dead on arrival.

The pickup truck and its driver are now under the custody of the Tupi Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
