The Bureau of Immigration (BI) confirmed that Mylah Roque, wife of former Presidential Spokesperson Atty. Harry Roque, left the Philippines in early September.

Mylah Roque is currently under a contempt and arrest order issued by the House Quad Committee after she repeatedly ignored invitations to attend their investigation into POGO-related crimes.

Mylah Roque was also placed under an immigration lookout bulletin on September 16.

However, being on a lookout bulletin only requires immigration personnel to monitor the person’s movements in and out of the country.

Mylah Roque’s departure could have been prevented if a hold-departure order had been issued, which only the courts can grant.

Aside from the House arrest warrant, no administrative or criminal charges have been filed against her in court.

Meanwhile, Santa Rosa, Laguna Rep. Dan Fernandez revealed on Monday that he received information that Mrs. Roque is currently in an Asian country, possibly Singapore or Malaysia.

It can be recalled that Mylah Roque, a former trustee of the Pag-IBIG Fund, became involved in the illegal POGO operations after signing a lease agreement with Chinese nationals who rented their property in Tuba, Benguet.

Among the tenants was Sun Liming, a Chinese fugitive on Interpol’s red notice, who is allegedly connected to the raided POGO operations in Porac, Pampanga.
