Husband Shoots Wife’s Alleged Lover Over Jealousy

A man faces murder charges for fatally shooting his wife’s alleged lover in Barangay Purok 4, Pavia, Iloilo.

The suspect, identified as Arnold Mamon Viejo, 41, resides in Barangay Cabugao Norte, Pavia, Iloilo.

The victim, Joven Galvez Job, 35, was a resident of Barangay Sapal, San Lorenzo, Guimaras.

According to Police Major Harold Redora, Chief of Pavia Municipal Police Station, the suspect and his wife, identified as alias “Lyn,” had already separated.

The couple has three children aged 14, 12, and 10, and the suspect had long suspected his wife of having an affair with the victim.

The incident occurred when Viejo found the victim inside a salon where his wife was temporarily staying.

An argument ensued, and the victim allegedly grabbed a knife, prompting the suspect to shoot him fatally.

Authorities are investigating the incident further as the suspect now faces legal action.
