House Speaker Romualdez Assures Approval of P6.352-Trillion National Budget

House Speaker Martin Romualdez has confirmed that the House of Representatives will approve the proposed P6.352 trillion national budget during its third and final reading tonight.

This follows the urgent certification of the budget proposal by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Romualdez stated that the House aims to pass the General Appropriations Bill (GAB) this evening, allowing for its immediate transmission to the Senate.

He emphasized that the GAB is the most critical piece of legislation currently under discussion, and he does not foresee any obstacles to its passage.

The Speaker reiterated that timely approval of the national budget is essential for the progress, prosperity, and development of the entire Philippines.
