This coincides with the “Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga” Day, celebrated every fourth Monday of September.

The suspension is based on Memorandum Circular 64, signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin.

However, offices providing essential services such as health, disaster response, and other critical operations are exempt from the suspension.

Malacañang has urged government workers in the executive branch to support the program, which highlights the importance of family, in line with the Family Week organized by the National Committee on Filipino Family.
