Despite the days of confrontation between Davao police and members of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC), Police Regional Director BGen. Nicolas Torre III expressed his gratitude for the cooperation shown by the sect’s supporters.

General Torre clarified that any misunderstandings, disputes, and confrontations during the operation were minor issues.

He remains hopeful that the peaceful arrest of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy will pave the way for a healing process between the police and the KOJC community.

Torre emphasized to the KOJC members that he is not their enemy, as he was merely fulfilling his duty in serving the arrest warrant against Quiboloy.

Torre led the operation in the KOJC compound, which had been the focal point of tensions.

The controversial operation has since drawn attention, leading to a Senate investigation on September 6, where heated exchanges occurred between KOJC officials, legal representatives, and the PNP.
