Former Barangay Captain and Bus Company Manager Shot Dead in Kabacan

A former barangay captain was shot dead along with his wife in a broad daylight attack in Kabacan, Cotabato.

The victims were identified as Armando Yap Lu, 79, an officer-in-charge (OIC) manager of Mindanao Star Bus Line and a former barangay captain of Barangay Ugalingan, and his wife, Marilyn Lunggakit, 62.

Both were residents of Barangay Ugalingan, Carmen, Cotabato.

According to investigations, the couple was traveling in their gray Toyota Fortuner along Y Junction in Barangay Kayaga when unidentified gunmen ambushed them.

Authorities are conducting an in-depth investigation to determine the motive behind the killing and identify the suspects.
