Foreign Investors Express Interest in Investing in the Maharlika Investment Fund, Says MIC President

Numerous foreign investors from various industries worldwide have expressed interest in investing in the Maharlika Investment Fund (MIF), according to Maharlika Investment Corporation (MIC) President and CEO Rafael Jose Consing Jr.

In an interview, Consing confirmed that many international investors have been inquiring about investment opportunities in the fund.

However, Consing clarified that the MIC is still in the process of developing its track record and credibility, and once that is established, they will begin accepting foreign investments.

He added that the MIC’s initial investment in the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) is just a starting point, aimed at attracting further investment.

Consing assured that there are more investment opportunities lined up, though he declined to disclose further details at this time.

He mentioned that one of the key areas for future investment is the agriculture sector.

According to Consing, the foreign investors expressing readiness to invest are linked to engagements made by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. during his international trips.
