Initial reports indicated that the suspect used a knife to carry out the killings before escaping into a nearby mountain forest.

The Naga City Police Station has launched a manhunt for the suspect, with the cooperation of local barangay officials.

Neighbors reported that the couple had been experiencing frequent arguments prior to the incident.

One possible motive being explored by authorities is the suspect’s alleged drug use, as he had previously undergone rehabilitation.
